Overview

The Pangarchulla peak is a beautiful introductory peak. The trek poses just the right amount of challenge and is ideal for hikers who want to get a taste of climbing. The peak is at 14700 ft and can have a lot of snow till as late as May. The trail to Pangarchulla Peak has a variety of terrains. From Lush green farms to dense jungle and then a pristine white snow-covered landscape. The views of peaks like Vasudhara falls, Mana, Mandir, Ghodi, Hathi, Barmal, Lampak Massif, Dronagiri, Nanda-Devi, and Bertholi can leave you feeling modest.

Itinerary

Day 1
  • Drive from Haridwar to Joshimath - 256 kms,10 hrs.
Day 2
  • Joshimath (6724 ft) to Guling Top (9600 ft.) - 12 kms drive,6kms trek,4-5 hrs.
Day 3
  • Gulling Top (9600 ft.) to Khulara (11,122 ft.) - 6kms,5 hrs.
Day 4
  • Khulara (11,122 ft.) to Gailgarh (12300 ft.) - 3kms, 3hrs.
Day 5
  • Gailgarh (12300 ft.) to Pangarchulla Peak( 14700 ft.) and back to Khulara (11,122 ft.) - 9kms,7- 8 hrs.
Day 6
  • Khulara (11,122 ft.) to Dhak village to Joshimath - 11kms trek,12kms drive,8hrs.
Day 7
  • Drive from Joshimath to Haridwar - 256 kms,10 hrs.

Note: During winters you may require Crampons and other technical equipment’s. We will make sure we provide you technical equipment’s and crampons. Sametime we would suggest you to carry your own personal stuffs necessary to be fit in Snow and mountains. Please confirm and cross check with your trek leader during first day of introduction session.
